Understanding The Law Of Attraction

You may have heard of the term ‘law of attraction’ but you do really understand what this means? Let me try to explain in more detail for you.

The law of attraction is based up the thought patterns and beliefs such as like-minded people attract other like-minded people. This is based upon both positive and negative ways of thinking. It is primarily based around your own thoughts.

Have you ever noticed that when you are with a group of cheerful people that you immediately start to feel the same way? Yet when you are with people who are complaining or feel down these feels spillover onto you? This is the best way to describe how the law of attraction works.

However we can go a little further than this, as you don’t have to be connected with other people for the law of attraction to work. Have you ever opened up a letter or bill anticipating what it would hold, good or bad news? If you expect that envelope to hold a huge bill it ultimately will. But if you are expecting a tax refund or cheque this is exactly what you find too. It’s funny how that works isn’t it?

Because the concept of the law of attraction is so powerful many books have been written on this subject. Some that you may recognize include:

  • Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
  • As a Man Thinketh by James Allen
  • The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles

It’s also interesting to note that some of the books were actually written at the turn of the century, and they still apply today. The movie The Secret, which was a runaway success, was also based upon the concept of the Law of Attraction.

Of course there are plenty of skeptics who try to put this theory or belief down. Stating that these occurrences are purely coincidental or a stroke of good fortune or luck.

History has shown what beliefs can do for the human race as well. Just look at how deeply people feel about their religion, for example.

There is no scientific evidence to back up the claims that the law of attraction really works. On the flip side though, it is strange that once you start believing that good things will happen to you, they actually do. On that concept who isn’t going to give the law of attraction some time and effort? I know I am for sure, how about you?
